Ortega • Nassau Sound
As the water warms and the bait returns to North Fla. the big trout are with them along with Jacks, ladyfish, and Spanish Mackerel.
Mayport • Jacksonville
The big spawning sheepshead will be pushing onto the jetties to lay a few eggs and they should be willing to take shrimp, fiddler crabs, and cut blue crab with a vengence.
Fresh Water Putnam & Clay Counties
When water temperatures drop to the levels we saw in January and February, fish can become quite lethargic and somewhat uninterested in eating.

Minnows or minnow and jig, i.e., roadrunners or Slab Daddies should produce for you.
Flagler • Palm Coast Inshore

N.E. Florida Pier
Black Drum will also improve and, if water temperatures rise to normal levels, Pompano will not be far behind.
St. Augustine Inshore
Reds should continue to stay schooled up, at least until water temps significantly start to rise and that most likely won’t be until April.
Offshore St. Augustine
The preferred depth was 160-300 feet. I look for the fishing to continue to get better with March being the BEST month for Wahoo.
Mayport
The subtle change will have some effect on both the offshore and inshore fisheries. Red fish will bunch up in the shallow creeks and waterways adjacent to the main body of the St. Johns River.
